LMIA Audit Compliance

LMIA Audit Compliance

Employers who hire foreign workers through the LMIA program may be subject to compliance inspections and audits by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to ensure adherence to program requirements. These audits can review wages, job duties, working conditions, recruitment efforts, and record-keeping practices for up to six years following the issuance of an LMIA. Non-compliance can result in serious consequences, including monetary penalties, bans from the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, and revocation of existing LMIAs.
At Drive2 Immigration, we support employers throughout the LMIA audit and compliance process by providing thorough guidance, document preparation, and representation. We help businesses understand their obligations, organize and review records, respond to audit requests accurately and on time, and address any identified gaps proactively. Our goal is to minimize risk, protect your business operations, and ensure continued compliance with federal requirements, allowing you to confidently employ foreign workers while maintaining long-term program eligibility.
